THE JOB:

The Manager of Merchandise Planning will develop replenishment plans, retail product and mix strategy by category and collaborate with retail property and corporate support teams to implement strategic objectives and vision laid out by the Executive Director of Retail Strategy. This individual will implement a standardized business case process for existing merchandise deployment incorporating data analysis and research, determine analysis and research objectives and leverage property and corporate resources. This individual is responsible for producing summaries for executive review and in support of the long-term replenishment strategy. In addition, this position will support the Executive Director of Retail Strategy in implementing productivity and operational initiatives that improve divisional cash flow.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Collaborate with multiple departments to prepare replenishment strategy and present Retail Analyses and executive summaries to Executive Director of Strategy.

• Set comprehensive ordering strategy supporting product and portfolio mix strategy by category by store down to product min/max levels.

• Develop long-term strategic plans by category by product class and provide merchandise KPIs guidance in support of buying decisions.

• Develop and maintain On-Hands, Markdown, and Promotions strategy; initiate and enhance base and dynamic pricing strategies based on guest demographics.

• Implement merchandise scorecards and drive increase in cash flow and operational excellence.

• Identify and present innovative concepts to drive "share of wallet" spend and support Executive Director of Strategy and Planning in the recommendation, development, and implementation of new retail resort offerings.

• Keep current on all relevant retail trends to identify solutions, products, and concepts to support and enhance the replenishment portfolio strategy.

• Assist Executive Director of Strategy and Planning on productivity initiatives that affect the enterprise as a whole.

• Conduct competitive research and share knowledge/experiences with retail leadership within the company.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.

• 2 years of prior relevant experience in Merchandise Strategy development and initiative implementation.

• Replenishment background.

• Experience in conceptual development of retail operations.
