This position will have a hybrid work schedule based in Las Vegas, NV. (1-2 days in the office).
THE JOB:
As a Senior Auditor, actively engage in all facets of audits, contributing to the ongoing enhancement of internal audit processes, adheres to professional standards, incorporates best practices into all audit endeavors, and collaborates with internal and external authorities in accounting, auditing, and systems. Cultivate a deep comprehension of internal controls and their implications on associated business processes and demonstrate outstanding verbal and written communication. Uphold accountability for executing audits promptly and accurately. Operate independently under supervision exercising appropriate initiative within established parameters. You will play a pivotal role in the meticulous planning and seamless execution of compliance, financial, and operational audits, as well as specialized projects, aligning with the rigorous standards outlined by the IIA's International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Assesses compliance with governmental regulatory requirements, financial accounting standards, and company policies to ensure company assets are safeguarded.
Maintains confidentiality of all Company information obtained in the normal course of an audit assignment.
Executes detailed audit procedures by reviewing transactions, documents, records, reports, and policies and procedures.
Manages multiple tasks concurrently.
Works efficiently in a changing environment.
Advises internal audit supervisor of problems encountered in a timely manner.
Ensures that documentation obtained contains sufficient, competent, and relevant evidential matter to support the conclusions reached.
Collaborates with team members to set audit goals and responsibilities. Contributes ideas/opinions to the audit teams and listens/responds to other team members' views.
Assists in planning audit projects.
Identifies and evaluates the risk factors in the audit area assigned and provides input to the development of the audit scope and testing procedures.
Develops and maintains productive client and staff relationships through individual contacts and group meetings.
Pursues professional development opportunities, including external and internal training and professional association memberships, and shares information gained with co-workers. Provides or assists in providing training, coaching, and guidance to internal audit staff in conducting audits and other audit-related issues.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of two years of experience in auditing, accounting, or a related field.
Experience in industry-specific auditing or accounting, with a focus on conducting audits relevant to the sector.
Proficiency in utilizing data analytics and analysis tools to enhance audit effectiveness and efficiency.
