Job Description:

The Superintendent plays a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of construction projects, ensuring they are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and specifications. This position requires strong leadership skills, extensive construction experience, and a dedication to delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage all aspects of on-site construction activities, including scheduling, coordinating subcontractors, and overseeing daily operations.

2. Ensure that construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

3. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to plan and execute project objectives.

4. Supervise and mentor on-site personnel, including foremen, tradespeople, and subcontractors, to ensure productivity and performance goals are met.

5. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.

6. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to procure materials and equipment required for construction activities.

7. Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and as-built drawings.

8. Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, providing updates on project status, milestones, and any issues or delays.

9. Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel on-site.

10. Participate in project meetings, including pre-construction meetings, progress meetings, and closeout meetings, to discuss project status and address any concerns.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the construction industry, with a focus on field operations and site management.

• Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects of varying size and complexity.

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and best practices.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple priorities, and make decisions under pressure.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, drawings, and specifications.

• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification (or equivalent) is required.

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field is preferred.

• Experience with construction management software and tools (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid) is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
