About the Position

· As a BOH Team Member at Mi Apá Latin café, you are responsible for creating outstanding food preparation, cook and present our signature dishes in a quick and efficient manner. Providing unforgettable guest experiences through our food assemblage and hospitality driven customer excellences every time.

Responsibilities – Bulleted list of critical activities

· Provide the highest possible level of food preparation and build new recipes

· Organize the success of the kitchen during Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner services

· Receive deliveries of food from suppliers

· Maintaining a positive attitude

· Keep hygiene policies, examining equipment for cleanliness as well of fulfilling State Health Department requirements

· Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time

Requirements – Minimum qualifications

· At least 18 years of age

· Clear and professional demeanor

· Ability to communicate clearly and effectively

· Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize with efficiency

· Initiative, drive and a self-starting work ethic

· Detail orientated, efficient, and organized

· Strong guest service and hospitality skills

· Passion for Cuban food and human relations a major plus

Essential Physical Functions

· Ability to work up to 45 hours per week

· Ability to stand/walk 5-8 hours per shift

· Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds frequently

· Required to frequently reach, bend, stoop, and carry

· Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments; indoors and outdoors

· Must be able to tolerate high levels of noise
