What are the responsibilities and job description for the OSP Designer position at Mi-Tech?
Mi-Tech offers a broad range of professional, engineering and technical services to the telecommunications and power delivery markets. We have a current opening for an OSP Designer. At Mi-Tech, we support our customers and stakeholders and constantly strive to exceed expectations with all of our services, which include: Communications Design Services, Energy Distribution Services, Utility Pole Inspection, and Environmental Services.
Job Duties:
- Provide support for OSP Designers
- Complete and File permit applications
- Utilize software programs to analyze and compile collected field data
- Attend site walk meetings and follow up calls
- Draft land base prints for Field Technicians
- Learn and utilize customer software for data input
Requirements:
- Overnight Travel may be required for the completion of job duties
- Valid driver’s license
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Applicants must be detail-orientated and have the ability to multi-task
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and learning new software
- Ability to handle more than one project at a time and to meet strict deadlines
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Experience in the Utility Industry a plus but not required. Specifically:
- Telecommunications, CATV, or Power Distribution
