Production supervisor

Pay Range : $66,000 - $83,000 depending on experience

Summary

MITER Brands, also known as Milgard and MI Windows & Doors, is one of the nation’s largest suppliers of vinyl windows and patio doors, with plants across the country.

We are looking for a Production Supervisor in our Flower Mound, TX manufacturing plant.

Shift : Day Shift

Essential Functions

• Manage staffing, orientation, training, and team member development.
• Appropriate staffing and departmental scheduling personnel to meet manufacturing requirements while minimizing costs.
• Plan departmental operations by establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
• Develop and / or revise standard operational & working practices, and observe workers to ensure compliance with standards.
• Ensure plant staff (Leads) enforce company policies and procedures, plant-wide safety rules, and employee rules of conduct.
• Interview, hire, train, terminate, discipline, and coach employees.
• Motivate employees to achieve results.

Education & Experience requirements

• College degree preferred.
• Our ideal candidate will have three-plus years in a manufacturing leadership role with previous multi-line responsibility.
• Proficient in the MS Office Suite.
• Must be an effective communicator, capable of teaching and generating results while enhancing the MI work environment and supporting the company philosophy.
• Prior experience in improving operations (UPEH, reduced costs, etc.).
• To support MI’s Continuous Improvement culture, we are looking for a strong background in LEAN process improvement principles, and process management experience.
