Records Clerk (Full-Time)
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8AM – 4PM
Pay: $18.91 - $21.79
Nature of Job: Under general supervision and within a secure/locked facility, performs typing and other clerical tasks such as: answering phone calls, assisting the public, performing record checks, indexes and files reports, documents, etc. in accordance with established policies and procedures. Prepares and types a variety of reports, forms and official documents. Be familiar with and able to navigate social media sites under the sheriff’s office domain.
Qualifications: Any combination of training and work experience that indicates possession of the skills, knowledge and abilities required. An example of acceptable qualifications for this position is: high school diploma plus additional business or other related training. Basic knowledge of modern office equipment and possess a demonstrable skill in typing/keyboarding. Proficient on a computer. Possess the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and the capability to function in a secure correctional setting. Must be able to obtain and maintain L.EA.D.S. certification and be a Notary Public.
Must be 18 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background investigation to include fingerprint analysis. Must successfully pass a truth verification test and pre-employment psychological exam.
