The Miami Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas: Certified Nurse Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant, Medical Administration Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Plumbing, Painting, Security and Protective Services, HVAC, Landscaping, Electrical, and Building Construction Technology.

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Academic Instructor to join our team at the Miami Job Corps Center. The Academic Instructor will have a critical role in providing high-quality academic instruction to our students to prepare them for success in their chosen career paths.

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching:

    • Plan, prepare, and deliver effective lessons that align with the curriculum and educational goals.
    • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
    • Utilize various instructional methods and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Curriculum Development:

    • Collaborate with the education team to develop and update curriculum materials that meet industry standards and educational requirements.
    • Integrate real-world examples and practical applications into lesson plans to enhance relevance and student understanding.
  • Assessment and Evaluation:

    • Implement regular assessments to gauge student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
    • Provide constructive feedback to students on their academic performance and offer guidance for improvement.
  • Student Support:

    • Offer additional support to students who may require extra assistance in grasping academic concepts.
    • Collaborate with other instructors and support staff to address individual student needs and challenges.
  • Professional Development:

    • Stay informed about current educational trends, teaching methodologies, and industry-specific developments.
    • Participate in professional development activities and training to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
