Responsibilities
Initiate purchase requisitions for parts to repair machines.
Work from blueprints, sketches, written or verbal instructions, and parts manuals.
Maintain records of each production machine tool that includes manuals and maintenance log for each machine.
Work closely with management to maintain optimum care and maintenance of all equipment.
Work closely with all departments to maintain equipment and reduce downtime.
Responsible for safety issues on machines, including Lock-Out Tag-Out on machines when required.
Responsible to complete preventive maintenance on both equipment and building as required.
Responsible to assist with EHS waste disposal.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Must have six (6) years of experience in a metal manufacturing environment and possess strong mechanical aptitude and electrical/electronic skills. 2 years of CNC experience is preferred.
Must have working knowledge of PID loops and controls and general plumbing. Working knowledge of repairing and replacing temperature controls is preferred.
Must be able to be forklift operator certified.
Must have basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, possess good communication (verbal and written) skills and have excellent listening skills.
Must have a positive attitude, be a problem solver, have excellent team collaboration skills and be able to simultaneously manage several objectives, changing priorities and reassign priorities to complete assignments.
US Citizenship or lawful permanent resident of the US is required.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English, stand for extended periods of time, lift up to and carry up to 50 pounds, bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working, and use mechanical aids to manipulate parts or machines exceeding 20,000 pounds.
