Responsibilities
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pack-out Station.
- Visually inspect product for seal integrity, potato defects, foreign materials, browning, and coding.
- Fill boxes with sealed bags in accordance with established quality guidelines for weights and finished good product type.
- Communicates with the QA Tech / Packaging lead for upcoming product changeovers.
- Adhere to all safety and quality procedures and warrants the safety and quality of products and materials.
- Palletizing Station:
- Loads finished good product boxes onto pallets according to recognized pallet patterns.
- Counts boxes to ensure pallets are stacked properly.
- Verifies the printed coding on boxes corresponds with finished good SKU requirements.
- Notifies casing operator of material shortfalls.
- Casing Operator:
- Responsible for the workflow of casing operations.
- Communicates with the packaging lead regarding workflow issues.
- Utilizes production white board to communicate packaging production schedule.
- Communicates with Production Supervisor of product overruns.
- Responsible for MIGO’ing finished good inventory into SAP software.
- Ensures boxes, tape, ink, labels are readily available for product changeovers.
- Also ensures raw materials are properly placed in equipment for processing.
- Performs pallet counts of finished good products and verifies accuracy of production paperwork.
- Counts and records all raw material waste.
- Must be able to operate a forklift and move pallets safely.
- Maintains good housekeeping practices in the work area. Keeps area free of debris and clutter.
- Adhere to safe work practices, all safety policies and procedures, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
