We are looking to add a referral coordinator to the team specializing in medicare advantage (Managed Care) and Medicare FFS (fee for service) for Internal medicine and cardiology age 65 and older.
Job duties:
Prepare and submit outgoing and incoming referrals for our HMO/Capitated Medicare advantage patients daily
Look up and prepare patient benefits for the next day visits
Investigate and correct Rejected claims
Work on benefits, authorizations
Help answer incoming phone calls and return messages
Book patient appointments for follow ups
Be proficient in electronic health record
Be organized and detail oriented
Be familiar with ICD 10 coding and CPT coding
Must have at least two to three years experience in referrals, authorizations incoming and outgoing and benefits
