Reporting to the Director, Quality and Patient Safety, the Manager, Risk Management a plays a critical role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with patient safety, legal compliance, emergency preparedness and enterprise risks from across the organization. This role involves engaging with teams across the organization to develop management strategies, conduct audits, oversee organizational policies and ensure the hospital adheres to all relevant regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare administration, enterprise risk management, policies and compliance.
EDUCATION

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare administration, enterprise risk management, policies and compliance.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management within a healthcare setting.
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership and people management experience
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards in Ontario, Canada.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in risk management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent critical thinking skills
- Excellent group facilitation skills
- Strong relationship building skills with experience building relationships across organizations and externally
- Organized and able to multi-task and prioritize effectively
