Job Description

Construction Estimator - Mechanical Contractor - Responsibilities :

  • Typically work on 3-4 jobs at a time
  • Attend job site walkthoughs and pre-bid meetings
  • Provide detailed take-offs
  • Review data to determine material and labor requirements
  • Consult with clients and vendors to discuss estimates and resolve issues
  • Compare estimated cost to actual coast and determine reason for discrepancies
  • Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for HVAC projects
  • Report directly to Director of Preconstruction

The Successful Applicant

Construction Estimator - Mechanical Contractor - Successful Candidate :

  • 3-5 years of HVAC or Plumbing Estimating experience
  • Experience Estimating in Higher Education / Institutional, Lab / Life-science, and Health-care sectors.
  • Experience working at a Mechanical or Engineering firm.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD MEP and Revit
