Description
The Estimator is responsible for :
- Reporting into the Senior Estimator
- Analyzing project plans, specifications, and requirements to determine accurate cost estimates
- Collaborating with various parties (architects, subs, etc.) to gather necessary information
- Preparing and submitting comprehensive, competitive bids and proposals
- Evaluating and comparing subcontractor and supplier quotes
- Conducting value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality
- Project cost control and budget management
- Upholding company image / professionalism
- Commuting to the office in Cranston, RI
Profile
The right Estimator has the following qualifications :
- Commercial, Lifescience, or Academic project experience (required)
- Ideally public / municipal work but open to other backgrounds (except residential)
- 8 years of Estimating experience with a General Contractor
- Construction-related degree (highly preferred)
- Computer skill & familiarity with construction softwares (including Newforma, OS Takeoff, Procore)
