Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Field Service Technicians in executing service-related tasks.
- Provide input on scheduling, planning, and completion of service, warranty, and emergency service.
- Interface directly with customers to address escalated service issues.
- Play a pivotal role in selling service opportunities such as packages, aftermarket, and preventative maintenance contracts.
- Conduct performance reviews, resolve personnel issues, and identify training needs.
- Provide technical training and certification to technicians.
- Plan and conduct new product/feature training sessions.
- Travel approximately 20%, including internationally to visit associated factories.
Qualifications:
- Two-year degree in Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field; or five or more years of relevant field experience.
- Strong leadership skills and industry knowledge.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Coaching and counseling abilities, including providing constructive feedback.
- Proficiency in PC software applications, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of machinery mechanics, electronics, and operations, including the ability to read electrical schematics and pneumatic prints.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Adaptability to changing customer needs and expectations.
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a passport for international travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in the woodworking industry.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Four-year B.A. or B.S. degree in a related field.
