Michele’s is a New American restaurant by Chef Matt Baker of Michelin-starred Gravitas with an anticipated October 2021 opening. Michele's is located in The Eaton.
Our cuisine is inspired by Baker’s family roots in France and influenced by local ingredients and sensibilities. Michele’s is named after Chef Matt Baker’s mother, who was born in New Orleans to French immigrants. Michele’s plans to tell the story of French-American cooking. The restaurant will pay homage to his Texas upbringing and will also represent other styles of cooking. The menu will be composed of small plates that are meant to be shared for the table, with a heavy emphasis on vegetables and seafood. Additionally, there will be a raw bar, where an 18 course Omakase menu built around raw seafood will be offered to guests. The wine list will be fun and eclectic, with varying styles and grapes. There will be a strong focus on French varietals such as: Champagne, Beaujolais and Loire Valley Wines.

Dishwasher/Utility
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Included but not limited to:
- Set up station to the standard, including dish machine, trash cans with liner, triple sink and floor mats.
- Fill sanitation bucket for station and change before each shift
- Follow Department of Health standards
- Clean additional areas of the restaurant as needed
- Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine
- Maintain dish machine cleanliness according to the standards
- Sort, stack and carry clean dishes to line, service stations and other proper storage areas
- Dispose of trash, used linens, and recyclebles in appropriate areas
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to walk and stand during entire shift
- Ability to lift and carry racks or stacks of dishes, glassware and other utensils, weighing up to 50 lbs., up to 50 times per shift
- Lift and empty trash cans weighing up to 150 lbs., with assistance, up to two times per shift
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing and lifting
- Ability to work in a hot, damp environment
- Hazards include, but are not limited to, cuts from broken glass and metal cans, burns, slipping and tripping
- Good listening and verbal communication skills
