What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Co-Op position at Michelman?
Currently, we have a great opportunity available for a Process Engineer Co-Op student to join our engineering team. This position will be located in our Blue Ash, Ohio global headquarters and will report to a process engineer. Due to the small size of our team, the coop will be exposed to a wide variety of roles including scale-up, cycle time improvement, equipment installation, maintenance projects, safety projects, and general operations support. Michelman invests in developing their coop by giving them opportunities to learn outside their given projects. All coops will spend 3-4 weeks in the plant with the operators learning hands-on how to operate the equipment in the different processes. The coop meets with their supervisor on a weekly basis to provide support and feedback, help the coop manage priorities, and tailor their experience towards their interests. Coops will work alongside established process engineers and will be given assignments based on need and the experience level and skill set of the individual. Coop projects will involve spending time in the chemical plant.
