JOB PURPOSE
The Quality Assurance Support is responsible for managing various internal documents while also ensuring their accuracy, quality, and integrity. Receive, review, edit, format, update, and manage various documents within an electronic document system. This is an administrative role that is heavily task-oriented toward document processing. Various activities may impact project timelines and the worker is responsible for adjusting and balancing his/her workload with the department and customers accordingly.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Assist in keeping Food Safety, Quality Procedures and Specifications Manuals up to date.
· Assist the QA Food Safety Manager with audits.
· Back up to collect and organize daily paperwork to submit to QA Manager.
· File various documents (Product Daily Temperatures, Daily Traceability Logs).
· Create and send COAs to customers.
· Enter daily production numbers in Quality Summary worksheet; calculate and enter weight and defect averages.
· Enter daily lot numbers into micro log sheet, and COAs.
· Enter daily HOLD product information in HOLD log spreadsheet.
· Scan and properly store required documentation.
· Enter environmental results into spreadsheet.
· Provides documentation to customers as required: surveys, questionnaires, certificates, etc.
· Responds to and maintains records on customer complaints.
· Responds and maintains records on corrective Actions.
· Create and send out work orders daily for production.
· Serve as a back up to the QA Manager and other quality positions.
· Help in creating training documents for Lab and Production associates.
· Any other office related tasks that are assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
· Must have equivalent of a 12th grade high school education.
· Must be HACCP certified or willing to get HACCP certified.
· Must be proficient in math and science skills.
· Must be proficient in reading and writing English.
· Must possess basic computer skills.
· Maintain professional level of performance in work environment.
· Must be able to work without direct supervision.
· Must be able to communicate effectively with Quality Food Safety Manager and Sales Manager to maintain quality levels.
· Must be able to make responsible decisions about product quality.
· Must have excellent attendance record.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
