MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES – PARTS COORDINATOR:
- Same day ordering of replacement and upgrade service parts for computer and peripheral equipment to ensure the highest levels of customer service and satisfaction
- Same day installation of received parts
- Process merchandise return authorizations within 72 hours of replacement parts receipt, to include research and reconciliation of warranty billing and shipments/deliveries
- Effectively communicate and coordinate as needed with other departments, including Store, Corporate Office and Service Distribution Center
- Keep up-to-date on retail products and current technologies
- Maintain the Parts Room within the Service Department by ensuring a clean and organized work area, conducting cycle counts, completing inventory adjustments and transfers, stocking and replenishing computer parts and participating in merchandising activities
- Support store operations by maintaining loss prevention awareness and security of Parts Room and by helping to prepare for physical inventory
- Participate in open and close procedures
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent with proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware, software and components
- Professional appearance and demeanor and a sincere interest in helping customers
- The ability to communicate professionally and handle multiple projects at once
- Physical requirements: lift up to 50 lbs., stand for prolonged periods of time
- Shifts will primarily be Monday-Friday, but may include hours before and after the store is open to the public and may also include mornings, nights, weekends and holidays
- Previous retail customer service, inventory control or computer technician experience is preferred
- Industry and vendor certifications a plus, but are not required
