Job Summary:
This position works in our Metal Shop and is responsible for operating Haas vertical machining centers and performing prototype and short job runs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs programming and set-ups of equipment with appropriate tooling and fixtures.
- Operate multiple Haas vertical machining centers.
- Work from drawings or blueprints to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Problem-solve and troubleshoot processes as needed.
- Completes 1st article and in-process inspections.
- Uses hand tools, grinders and other special deburring tools to remove sharp edges from surfaces.
- Assist in other work areas to perform fabrication and maintenance as required.
- Follow all safety rules and comply with all company policies.
Required Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Machine Tool Technology. Equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
- 1 year of relevant experience programming and setting-up Vertical Machining Centers.
- Experience operating in a self-directed manner.
- Ability to operate in a safe and friendly manner, maintaining compliance with all company policies.
- Effective communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Virtual Gibbs CAM software.

- May be required to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 60 pounds, 0 - 33% of time.
- May be exposed to high noise levels for short amounts of time when working near manufacturing equipment. Noise levels range between 70-100 decibels. Protective footwear, ear plugs, and safety rated glasses are required.
