What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Micro Tech?
- Follow department guidelines and Standard Operating Procedure work instruction for equipment repair of plastic film processing equipment, specifically extrusion line cleanings, preventative Maintenance & other equipment maintenance
- Properly complete and submit all paperwork associated with equipment maintenance and safety protocols
- Perform minor modifications to equipment to eliminate the root cause of the mechanical problems.
- Diagnose equipment issues & assist in the diagnosis of process related problems through collaborative team work with Engineering & Operations staff
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- Associate degree or diploma in Mechanical Technology preferred
- 5 years’ experience in an industrial environment performing mechanical maintenance required
- Formal industrial maintenance training required
- Mechanical troubleshooting experience required
- Able to perform precision alignments and installations.
- Experience and knowledge of electrical systems a plus
