Job Description:
Microchip is seeking a highly experienced Business Analyst to work in its Colorado Springs, CO frontend manufacturing location. This candidate will be an integral part of the Global Enterprise Applications Factory Ops IC team supporting manufacturing systems including MES (Manufacturing Execution System), Engineering, Reporting and Analytics. A successful candidate will align to strategic goals and act as an advocate for both the EA Fac Ops team and user community. They will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, & documenting requirements, facilitating projects, developing specifications & solutions for software projects.
This position requires a dynamic individual who can learn and adapt quickly to integrate both business needs and technical requirements. You will be actively engaged with both technical and business personnel to develop subject matter expertise in multiple business areas across Operations, Engineering, and Manufacturing. You will interact closely with business users to define new requirements as well as identify and resolve existing business problems.
You will be required to utilize various project management approaches, tools, and methodologies to optimize the results. Experience with MS Project and Azure DevOps is desirable. Must be pro-active and drive projects to completion while maintaining the expectations of the various stakeholders.
You will interface with our development and support teams around the globe which may require flexing your work schedule up to 5% of the time to accommodate early morning or evening meetings, along with opportunities for travel 1 to 2 times a year. You will work in a team environment to make and support appropriate system decisions that fit our team’s goals and culture.
Essential Competencies:
- Must be able to maintain a "Big Picture" perspective.
- Have strong business process knowledge of Front-end 6” and 8” Semiconductor Manufacturing.
- Have strong time management, project management, and presentation skills.
- Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Create and perform queries of databases using SQL for analysis, monitoring of code changes, and isolating data issues.
- Perform software validation, QA, and use case testing.
- Have strong knowledge of manufacturing and manufacturing processes to capture and analyze requirements and assist with user acceptance testing process.
- Must have the ability to study current practices, think outside the box, and foster creative analysis to complex problems.
- Able to quickly adapt to priority changes.
- Interact with stakeholders and communicate business requirements.
- Have excellent listening, influencing, and facilitation skills.
- Be self-driven; can work independently and in a team to develop innovative solutions.
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Work closely with MES Architect, Developers, and QA to transition user requirements into functional, technical, and test case documents.
- Work with both a technical and non-technical user community.
- Follow the Microchip policies and procedures on project management and change control.

Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, MIS, Information Systems, or equivalent. 10 years of relevant work experience as a senior level Business Analyst or Project Manager. Knowledge of Agile/Waterfall methodologies and Software Development Lifecycle. Proficient in Structured Query Language (SQL).
Additional Skills required:
Fully literate in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Teams). Project management, business document writing, experience with DevOps.
