The successful candidate will support the process qualifications, reliability monitor, and continuous improvement programs to achieve zero defect and ppm for Microchip products. Responsibilities: Microchip wafer fabrication support: Support standard and AEC (automotive electronic council) Q100 qualifications for new process technologies and process changes. For reliability qualification failures, determine root cause failure mechanism (i.e. design, test, process issue, etc.) and work with relevant organizations to implement corrective actions. Quality interface for ongoing fab related quality/reliability issues/concerns. Microchip fab process technology support: Participate on teams associated with fab transfer (i.e. integration, fab process improvement, map/yield, product/process change notification, etc), create process technology qualification plan (i.e. intrinsic, extrinsic, AEC Q100, etc.) and manage these qualifications (i.e. work with failure analysis and other relevant groups to resolve reliability fails, etc.) Create necessary monitor programs (i.e. Tri-temp characterization, die/package monitor, etc.) Reliability support for new process technologies: Responsible for improving the reliability robustness of new process technologies. Involves performing monitor testing, finding root cause failure mechanisms, and working with different organizations to implement corrective action. Continuous improvement: Support programs to achieve zero defect and ppm, i.e. fault grade, test coverage improvement, process improvement, quality test screens implementation, etc. Analyze data (i.e. customer returns, reliability monitor, etc.) to determine effectiveness of defect reduction programs. JEDEC: Support JEDEC JC14 and 70 documents as applicable. Requirements/Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering. Data mining skills. Knowledge of Information systems (IS). Highly motivated and driven candidates who work well on teams and can get projects done in a timely manner. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
