Job Description: Job Description This role is an internship that will help support several aspects of the events and webinar programs in Microchip’s Marketing Communications team. Critical Duties: The individual would be responsible for assisting the Team with a variety of multi-marketing projects including web page development, writing for e-mail campaigns and social media posts, coordinating logistics for smaller tradeshows utilizing the tradeshow in a box program. Key Responsibilities: Support the event department's initiatives with the planning and execution of smaller 10x10 tradeshows supporting human resources and other functional teams Create, proofread, and edit copy for various marketing channels, ensuring consistent voice and brand message Measure and report the results of marketing initiatives Project manage and proof the team’s monthly newsletter Maintain global events on .com/events page Learn and utilize various technologies to support events including: event registration tool, meeting management tool, QR code generator, among others Requirements/Qualifications: Job Requirements: Actively pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Product Marketing or related major Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively and professionally present orally and in written form to all levels within the company. Excellent time management skills and professionalism – may work directly with teams in other regions Willingness to work with a team over multiple time zones and regions Self-starter with ability work independently Demonstrate leadership ability and relationship building skills Strong blend of multi-tasking and creative problem-solving skills Extensive knowledge of and proficiency in MS Office (Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Hard-working team player, with a positive attitude and willing to collaborate Travel Time: No Travel Physical Attributes: Feeling, Hearing, Reaching, Seeing, Works Alone, Works Around Others Physical Requirements: 40% sitting, 30% standing, 30% walking Microchip Technology Inc is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
