Job Description: As a Project Lead in the Secure Products Group at Microchip, you will be at the core of the design effort responsible for creating state-of-the-art hardware security solutions. Your role will involve planning, resource identification, project tracking, and negotiating the best possible solutions in security products, while leading a team of engineers through the development process. This position requires someone comfortable will all aspects of IC design development and is flexible enough to adapt with constantly evolving requirements. You will liaise between function groups to ensure smooth product development and a high potential for first pass silicon success. Description As an individual contributor, build on previous design experience to lead a team of engineers through the development process of an integrated circuit from product requirements to production release. Drive development progress through task identification, scheduling, and monitoring. Proactively identify project hot spots and recovery plans. Work with design architects, implementers, validation, product, and test engineering teams to define the project scope and goals and ensure continuity of development. Propose and drive new methodologies to improve quality, pull in schedule, lower cost, and remove barriers to program execution. Participate in the verification and bring-up of cryptographic algorithm-based devices, as permitted. Requirements/Qualifications: Knowledge of silicon development, firmware development, product validation and silicon manufacturing engineering. Demonstrated project leadership experience. Excellent organization, verbal and written communication skills with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Experience with industry standard project team productivity tools such as Atlassian JIRA, R4J, Confluence, Polarion, etc. Preferred Qualifications Interest in and basic understanding of cryptography, associated algorithms, and technology. Security or automotive product development experience. Experience with mixed analog, digital and NVM based IC devices. Knowledge of hardware description languages Understanding of timing closure and silicon test techniques such as DFT, memory BIST and test pattern generation. Education & Experience Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. 6.5 - 8 years’ experience in silicon development projects Knowledge of IC development flow and tools.
