Job Description: Microchip is currently seeking a Benefits Specialist for our office located in Beverly, MA. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Conduct new hire orientation to ensure employees gain an understanding of our benefit programs Assist with the yearly US benefits open enrollment Act as a liaison between employees and benefit providers to resolve benefit related issues Day to day contact for all employees with benefit related questions and counsel employees on benefit plan provisions Oversee and administer the leave of absence process including FMLA/ADA, state specific and personal leaves Communicate regularly with management regarding employees requesting types of leaves or accommodations. Coordinates employee benefit events and assists with wellness activities Oversee maintenance of employee benefit files Report Worker’s Compensation claims to the carrier and maintain accurate and up-to-date records Assist with company-wide projects as needed Requirements/Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field Strong analytic and organization skills as well as attention to detail Excellent customer service skills with an empathetic approach Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently Must be able to manage confidential information Strong initiative to follow up on pending issues Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint Excellent written and verbal skills Preferred experience: 1-2 years benefits or human resources experience Experience with Workday and/or Kronos U.S. Export Controls Requirements: This job requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by the export laws of the United States.
