This position requires the successful candidate to take ownership and drive success of the structural design and construction elements of projects.
Responsibilities Include
- Architectural design and construction oversite of major construction projects
- Liaison with local AHJ's
- Ensure compliance with required codes and standards
- Ensure designs are safe
- Ensure designs are cost effective
- Review of Design drawings and specifications for completeness and accuracy
- Review of engineering calculations and supporting documentation to ensure design quality
- Review of NavisWorks 3D models relative to functionality, egress, ease of maintenance requirements, constructability, alignment with other engineering subject areas
- Review and approval of submittals
- Review and validation of construction RFI responses
- Review and approval of shop drawings and construction models
- Inspect construction and installation progress for conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Ensuring compliance with Micron standards, Micron specifications, codes, laws, regulations, industry standards, and best known methods
- Develop and validate cost estimates and construction schedules for architectural portions of projects.
- Develop criteria and performance specifications required to meet unique operating requirements for new projects.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Architecture or higher
- Experience with major high-tech construction projects
- Excellent analytical and good decision making skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization
- Excellent partnership and collaboration with other groups, internally and externally
- Ability to solve problems across multi-functional and multi-cultural groups within and outside facilities
- Ability to multi-task and lead team to meet complicated deadlines and goals
- Commit to continuous improvement
- Ability to develop strong relationships from multi-functional and multi-cultural groups
- Exceptional customer focus
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
