As a Probe Equipment Technician at Micron Technology in Boise, Idaho, you will help with monitoring, sustaining, and improving the equipment and/or processes. You will assist in maintaining a variety of probing and support equipment in a multifaceted environment. We collaborate with many upstream and downstream partners to achieve our mission and meet our goals.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and improve system performance and availability based on metrics
- Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on probe test cells and support equipment; effectively document all maintenance activities
- Investigate tool and fault detection alarms
- Apply Effective Problem-Solving (EPS) framework in all work
- Support teams in tool installation and qualification
- Adhere to safety and work procedures specific to the area, while also applying creative and independent thinking when applicable
- Collaborate with internal Probe teams and external partners in support of all goals
- Strive to exceed in all Micron Values – People, Innovation, Tenacity, Collaboration, and Customer Focus
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of AC/DC circuits including fundamentals of electricity and basic electronic components/circuits
- Strong mechanical proficiency
- Basic PC skills including MS Office suite
- Ability to solve basic problems and address root causes; demonstrate a systematic problem-solving approach
- Basic data extraction, analysis, and reporting skills
- Ability to work effectively with some direction
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Growth mindset!
- Must be flexible to work any shift and rotate shifts as needed
Education/Experience:
Two-year industry-related associate degree or equivalent military experience or industry related experience
