What are the responsibilities and job description for the TD Automation Integration Engineer position at Micron Technology?

As an Automation Integration Engineer at Micron, you will be responsible for both implementing new systems and supporting existing systems for global core organizational functions for your domain! You will use the following standardized release procedures: coordinating, planning, monitoring, documenting, testing, and scheduling in a manner consistent with department standards when applicable. You will also help align the capabilities of the company’s software and design business processes and requirements based on business need for the global Technology Development organization.
Safety/Quality:
Finishes the required safety training and conducts all work in accordance with Micron safety policies
Follows all safety and environmental procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws
Reports all safety-related concerns or problems immediately to the appropriate individual (Emergency Response Team, Supervision, etc.)
Performs audits and submits good catches on safety issues
Communication/Teamwork:
Collaborate with peers locally and worldwide to establish Best Known Methods (BKMs) for standards and efficiency. Supporting TD teams in Boise and our overseas locations.
Drive worldwide alignment in BKMs where possible and document
Adhere to BKMs in daily work
Partner with production and engineering teams to understand their processes, tools and challenges, determine most appropriate solutions and receive buyoff for a given situation or change
Partner with ID1 counter part to ensure consistency in approach where Fab 4 supports both manufacturing and TD needs
Drive needed enhancements with BSCM/POC or appropriate channel for data availability and process control systems capability
Connect with peers, partners, and leadership as appropriate with concise data summaries and explanations
Partners with key collaborators to develop applications to continuously improve systems and applications in sphere of influence
Assesses impact to groups/area and strives for a win/win solution
Support improvements to TD Information Management structure
Project Management/Planning:
Coordinate resources/project planning for TD Focused projects with FEIT/TDIT and other IT collaborators
Coordinate TD Project Review and Triage (SRB / TD Systems Efficiency Forum) with Data Science and TDIT Project Managers
Designs and coordinates projects with several different departments
Drives projects to ensure that work is completed within the required timeframe
Ensures successful implementation of projects into business processes
Applies effective project management tools and methods (problem statement, work, achievements, risks, etc.)
Minimizes duplication of effort through effective planning
Owns and challenges assumptions and uses knowledge to drive improvements
Drives for a balance between tactical and critical initiatives
Ensures routine communication to collaborators of project status, roadblocks, and path to success
Technical/Data Analysis:
Gather and formalize business requirements
Fix TD system configuration and host issues and ensure systems are performing as expected
Coordinate activities for TD Focused Software
Look for root cause solutions to eliminate repeating defects
Follow change control business procedures
Understand relationships between process management systems and applications that relate to Data Collection to enable successful conversions
Drive needed updates and improvements in software tools to enable technology moving forward
Analyze differences in setup, such as between facilities or between requested/actual, and drive alignment
Identify and/or enter data needed in the development/test environments to validate configuration changes
Continues to evolve abilities via internal and external education opportunities
Drives action through effective data and clear communication
Incorporates experience and observations into data analysis and decision making

Demonstrated ability to continuously learn and self-improve
Demonstrated ability to organize and efficiently facilitate meetings and project teams
Experience or knowledge in one or more scripting, programming, and visualization tools (i.e. Python, Java, Tableau, Matlab, Microsoft Suite)
Advanced problem-solver – understanding of data, good data intuition and data visualization skills
Experience or knowledge of data collection, warehousing systems, and data cleansing
Education and Experience:
Required: BS in Information Technology Management, Supply Chain Management, Production Operations Management (POM), equivalent degree, or relevant experience
Preferred: Three or more years of experience. Knowledge of the semiconductor manufacturing process regarding automation, scheduling, cycle time and manufacturing efficiency.
