Job Posting for ES&H Coordinator II at Mid-America Conversion Services LLC
Seeking an Environmental, Safety and Health (ES&H) Coordinator II to join our team! The successful candidate will be able to perform logistical and technical tasks for the ES&H organization ensuring continuous support for maintenance and operations of the DUF6 project.
Position Overview:
Under general supervision responsible for performing logistical and technical tasks for the Environment, Safety & Health (ES&H) organization ensuring continuous support for maintenance and operations of the DUF6 project. The specific work assignment may include duties or activities to support the organization in one or more of the following functional areas, in addition to other duties as assigned:
Functional:
Provides data analysis in the Industrial Hygiene discipline areas of air monitoring for: potential hazardous chemical exposure, particulate sampling (i.e. asbestos, beryllium), and noise
Works with Instrumentation health and safety technician (HST) and ES&H Supervisor to verify data collection and processes air sample results into Human Interface System (HIS-20) system
Analyzes monthly and annually, the DUF6 Cylinder Inventory Database (CID) and HIS-20 for compliance with the number and frequency of cylinders being Rad surveyed
Preserves radiological effluent (facility stack) results through HIS-20, and compiles monthly effluent reports
Assists in the selection of cylinders to be RAD surveyed based upon Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) criteria
Provides assistance to HST personnel with EPA compliance reports
Analyzes the Environment Surveillance and Round Sheet and reports deficiencies against project standard operating procedures reviewed by the ES&H Manager and Environmental Program Manager
Compiles, reviews, and processes all HST developed records
Assists in the procurement of personal protective equipment (PPE), supplies and other equipment
Distributes daily shift orders
Aids with dosimetry tasks as directed by the Radiological Control Program Manager
Posts radiological work permits (RWPs)
Ensures all technicians are briefed and entered into HIS-20 system
Performs industrial hygiene tasks as directed by the Industrial Hygiene Program Manager
Ensures compliance with training requirements for the HST organization
Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
4 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required
Ability to obtain and maintain a Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD-12) credential
