The Barista prepares and serves a variety of finely-crafted coffees, espressos, teas, smoothies and baked goods in the MCMC Atrium and acts as public relations ambassador for the Mid-Columbia Medical Center.
- Education:
- High School Graduate, College Coursework preferred
- Licensure/Certification:
- Current Oregon Food Handler Card
- Experience:
- Experience in the food service industry preferred but not required.
- Experience in retail industry preferred by not required.
- Prior experience as barista strongly preferred
- Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Customer service skills
- Cash handling and record keeping skills
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Ability to use fax, copy machine, cash register, telephone, make credit card transactions and operate the coffee machine
- Ability to work occasional overtime, evenings, weekends and maintain a flexible work schedule;
- Excellent self directed time management skills;
- Work with little or no supervision;
- Ability to deal professionally with a wide variety of personnel and customers;
- Work well under stress
