Field Site Operations Coordinator

This position is responsible for the daily organization of the yard/trailer job site. The operations coordinator’s responsibilities will include but are not limited to the ordering, reporting, inventory, maintaining, dispersing and organization of bulk fiber reels, equipment and supplies from the yard/trailer.

Role Specific Responsibilities

• Unlock and lock the yard/trailer daily.

• Keep track of bulk usage of fiber reels to relate the costs associated with job numbers and crew specifics.

• Report fiber usage on different apps/websites for customers.

• Create and perform inventory reports and analysis of usage (stock for future jobs).

• Plan and coordinate order of stock items in correlation with job needs.

• Monitor inventory levels and place orders for materials and equipment as needed.

• Maintain accurate records and reports on yard operations and inventory.

• Understand costs associated with materials and repairs.

• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

• Inspect equipment and tools for damage.

• Give insight to crew about materials usage – be able to answer related questions.

• Unload semis as they make deliveries (Fiber Reels, Inner Duct Reels, Skids of materials).

• Help crews load up fiber reels and inner duct on their trailers for daily use.

• Keep yard/trailer maintained and cleaned.

• Under direction of General Superintendent - support the crew as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Attention to detail.

• Comfortable in a support role while also having the ability to problem solve.

• Team mindset.

• Willingness to travel as needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Education Level Required: High school diploma.

• Tell-Handler / Skid Loader Experience preferred.

• Inventory management preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

• Driver’s license

PHYSICAL DEMANDS and WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Occasional travel <25%

• Primarily construction trailer environment with moderate noise levels

• Ability to lift to 75lbs.

• Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions if necessary.

• Ability to bend, stand, carry, stoop, kneel and reach.
