What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager position at Mid-Ohio Utilities?
Job Summary:
Manage work at multiple project sites to ensure work is being completed safely and efficiently, maximize project profitability, identify project responsibilities, phases and project plan lifecycle.
This position is predominantly field based with some home office base.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage daily activities of 1 and 2 crews; acting as primary contact for any issues.
Communicate both orally and written with local officials, company management/staff, customers, and others.
Preconstruction meetings with cities and customers.
Call in and confirm locates are completed and current to construction.
Ensure all permits are in hand prior to any work being done; and work is performed in accordance with permit requirements.
Keep Operations Manager constantly informed of job progress completed, plans and any problems that could significantly affect costs or schedules.
Have final as builts prepared consisting of drawings, dailies, and other documents so that work orders can be invoiced to the customer.
Represent Mid Ohio and client in a professional manner, fostering a healthy workplace environment on all aspects of the jobsite.
Investigate planned pathways in front of crews to identify and mitigate roadblocks.
Ability to read and understand blueprints and project specifications to plan construction sequencing.
Daily travel to multiple job sites in company vehicle.
Experience in digging underground utilities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 50 per week
