IT Business Systems Analyst - Harrisburg, PA

Position Overview

The IT Business Systems Analyst will work with assigned business units to become an expert in their systems, specifications, and processes. They will work to identify data and reporting requirements, design solutions, and recommend system controls and protocols. The individual in this role would act as a liaison between the IT Department and assigned department. Additionally, the IT Business Systems Analyst will work to improve and maintain the bank websites.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Determines data objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
• Defines project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements.
• Builds and analyzes requirements; constructs workflow charts and diagrams; studies system capabilities; writes specifications.
• Works with third party IT consultants and IT vendors on system designs, documentation, installation, updates, and support issues.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending core bank user conferences, educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
• Modifies and supports bank websites, systems and workflows that are vital to the daily operations of different departments.
• Assists with processing onboard and off board requests for assets and system access for new/terminated employees.
• Governs a Change Management system for enhancement requests and other change items.
• Assists with Help Desk support as necessary, including creating and maintaining knowledgebase articles.
• Develops high quality code based on industry best practices.
• Maintains documentation related to assigned Department Policies, IT Policies, and internal IT support. Provides references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation for all supported technology tools.
• Maintains various documents that help Technology management track and communicate project activity.
• Communicates all scheduled and unscheduled outages as well as End User Alerts, Help Hints, etc.
• Prepares technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations; preparing and communicating action plans; resolving problems and, where possible, implementing positive change.
• Consults with different department subject-matter-experts to analyze current processes that are costly in resources and/or time to recommend data solutions and/or assist with the development and design of efficiencies.
• Monitors tickets and makes timely updates for requested changes for bank websites and employee onboarding/off boarding.
• Applies consultation findings by designing/developing and/or modifying systems and workflows using current software applications.

Education & Qualifications

· A Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study preferred, or equivalent work experience and/or training.

· A minimum of five (5) years' experience in related positions normally required.

· Experience with data analytics and data visualization tools such as SQL and Power BI.

· Experience with website development tools such as Sharepoint and Wordpress.

· Knowledge of Containers is strongly preferred.

· Knowledge of assigned department/business unit operations preferred.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.

· Knowledge of IT security best practices and data privacy regulations.

· Regular and predictable attendance is required. This position is 100% on-site, in office location.
