Description
Mid South Produce is accepting proposals for enthusiastic and energetic candidates to support to the Defense Commissary Agency in Harrison Charter Township, MI. The Merchandiser supports merchandising strategies by building displays, maintaining department conditions, and striving for flawless execution of department operations.
Services Description:
• Stock produce
• Maintain promotional areas
• Hand out samples
• Configure produce displays
• Coordinate resets, sales, and special events Specialists
• Maintain Priority areas and plant program if applicable
Requirements
• Minimum one-year produce experience with a large retailer (required)
• Ability to complete services independently
• Ability to answer calls and solve task in a timely manner
• Must be able to pass background check to secure access to work location.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to accurately report out actions
• Must be able to routinely lift cases of fresh fruits and vegetables weighing as much as 50 lbs
• Ability to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Contractor will be required to submit an IRS Form W-9 to receive payments for services performed and will be responsible for paying and reporting its own taxes and withholding. Contractor will be expected to have prior qualifications and provide services without supervision.
Schedule may require occasional adjustments based on location needs, special event coordination / merchandising or general business requirements.
