This is a Hybrid position, with the ability to work remotely often! Both full and part time available!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Produce or update SolidWorks 3D CAD drawings of custom aluminum/steel ramp and handrail assemblies, along with a variety of other speciality designs, for customer approval and use in manufacturing

• Ensure basic models and prints make proper use of modeling techniques and industry design standards

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, building plans, and schematic diagrams

• Provide support to production and shop managers during design and fabrication process, ensuring the product is built according to design specifications

• Work with the New Product Development team for complete concept drawings

• Create Quality control forms, Inspection Sheets, bubbled drawings for use with production quality control

• Act as a role model for co-workers and to lead by your actions. This includes support and implementation of Handi Products’s basic Philosophies which include (but are not limited to):

Qualifications:

• Must be proficient in Solidworks 3D CAD software

• Familiar with industry standard for top-down design and modeling

• Capable of working various projects simultaneously

• Must have the ability to solve practical problems while maintaining accuracy and efficiency under minimal supervision

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Strong understanding of measurement practices, with knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) a plus

• Strong computer skills and proficiency in related software such as Microsoft suite of products

Education:

• Associate (Preferred)

Experience:

• Drafters: 3 years (Preferred)
