Chemical dependency nurse

Job Title : Chemical Dependency RN (13 weeks)

Locations : Aberdeen, WA 98520

Facility Name : Grays Harbor Community Hospital

Shift : 1900-0700 (36 hrs)

Requirements : COVID card, BLS(AHA), ACLS and RN WA state license required

Experience : At least 1 years with chemical dependency, Medical/Surgical and Charge nurse

Education: Bachelor’s Degree required

Duties:

• Carries out counseling of drug/alcohol or addicted patients, or MICA patients within the structure of a comprehensive treatment plan.Demonstrates listening skills, empathy, confrontation and supportive skills, ability to monitor patient compliance, participation, and motivation.Demonstrates ability to communicate treatment with other members of interdisciplinary team.Establishes long-term counseling relationships with patients
• Identify patient clinical problems in diagnostic summary and incorporates them into treatment planning process utilizing JCAHO, program standards, and 12 step principles
• Maintain communication with the treatment team regarding patient management
• Deliver treatment services including individual and family sessions, lectures and group therapy according to the guidelines of WAC 246-811 and RCW 18.205 and under the direction and tutoring of a Chemical Dependency Professional
• Facilitate treatment groups and provide case-management on a as needed basis
• Performs intake evaluations by direct interview of persons applying for treatment.Assesses chemical use history including pattern, type, and amount of use of licit, prescription, or illicit substances.Assesses patients for symptoms of psychosocial dependence, motivation for change, and personal resources.Gathers family historical data concerning drug and alcohol usage, relationship, and current functioning
• Collaborate with patient/support system in evaluating, diagnosing patients utilizing current edition Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders and/or providing specialized psychotherapy services as described in CPT to reduce and/or resolve symptoms of psychiatric and/or substance use disorders identified

Job Types: Travel nursing, Contract

Pay: $70.00 - $90.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
