 INVENTORY CONTROL / QUALITY

Pennsylvania Steel is a leading distributor of steel and aluminum. We are a privately and veteran owned business.

Pennsylvania Steel has been in business since 1972 and has expanded to 9 locations in 2022, becoming one of the largest Steel Service Centers in the eastern United States.

The Naugatuck, CT branch is looking for an Inventory Control / Quality Associate.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Receive and verify inventory into the system; enter quantity, PO, heat number(s)
  • Generate inventory labels for warehouse
  • Scan and attach material certifications
  • Mill delivery scheduling
  • Conduct / participate in monthly internal sales and operations audits
  • Attend and transcribe minutes of ISO monthly meetings; reference customer satisfaction logs & Corrective Actions
  • Communicate/interact with steel suppliers regarding inventory or quality issues
  • Weekly review of ISO logs to evaluate, monitor and track trends to determine if Corrective Actions need to be taken & report findings in monthly ISO meetings
  • Assist in the implementation and management of the ISO Internal Audit Schedule
  • Monthly review of Return Material Authorization report
