JOB PURPOSE:

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for creating budgets and forecasts and providing thoughtful guidance and analysis on business results, with a specific focus on revenue and related areas. The Senior Financial Analyst will build modeling to provide financial analysis surrounding daily, monthly, and annual variances in order to inform leadership in planning and overall company decision making from a revenue standpoint. The role will also be responsible for working with big data to transform millions of records of transactional data from multiple data sources into intuitive and actionable dashboards for management.

KEY FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for all components of the annual revenue budget, including scenario planning, assumption development and recurring revenue growth expectations.
  • Prepare monthly revenue forecast, including updating all assumptions based on current trending, recalculating all aspects of revenue, including recurring and non-recurring revenue.
  • Build revenue budget and forecast within our budgeting software by working closely with our vendor, Prophix.
  • Participate in capital budgeting and forecasting.
  • Support in business improvement by critically analyzing results, monitoring variances, ensuring data integrity, identifying trends and by providing recommended actions to management.
  • Complete financial data analysis by collecting, monitoring, and creating financial models for decision making.
  • Create reports and perform system maintenance of our corporate performance software.
  • Contribute to the timely preparation of all internal and external financial reporting related to the financial planning and analysis function, including, internal monthly financial packages, quarterly bank compliance reporting, and other financial reporting related matters as they arise.
  • Assist management with preparing presentations, graphs, charts and other ad hoc requests for monthly board and leadership meetings.
  • Prepare ad hoc analysis to facilitate decision making and planning and other project support as needed.
  • Manage projects and deadlines and operate in a proactive and efficient manner.
  • Drive continuous improvement in role and within finance area.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external customers.
  • Follow and serve as a role model in displaying Midco's Core Values and Leadership Success Drivers.
  • Adhere to Midco privacy guidelines to ensure each customer's privacy.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree required with major in Finance or Business Analytics preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of financial analysis or business analytics experience required.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Power Point).
  • Intermediate-level skills in SQL, Tableau and/or Microsoft Power BI preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
  • Employees may be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week and other than normal business hours, such as holidays, evenings, and weekends as business demands.
