Provide secretarial/clerical programmatic support to faculty, staff, and undergraduate/graduate students of the Engineering Technology department. Specific programmatic duties include preparation and coordination of class scheduling that aligns with program specific objectives – this is conducted under the supervision of the chairperson and in alignment with recommendations of academic advisors; This role will include opening and closing sections, providing overrides in consultation with the chair. Ensure that GAAP and university policies and procedures are followed as well as financial reports that are delivered in a timely manner to the department chair. Other departmental duties will include assistance and preparation of workload forms, administrative assistance in faculty searches, coordination of the Mech Tech semi-annual events, and responsibility for overall student organization events (EVP, SME Robotics Club, and perennial student events). High School diploma or High School Equivalency (HSE) required.
Four years of progressively responsible secretarial/clerical support experience required.
Note: Bachelor's degree and one year of related experience, or an associate's degree (two years of college coursework) and one year related experience may be considered in lieu of work experience.
Experience in higher education preferred.
