You will lead a dynamic team in maintaining over 500,000 square feet of diverse 100 year old structures across a 350-acre campus. Major Responsibilities: In this influential role, you will be the driving force behind the overall management and leadership of our Facilities Department – overseeing a team of 30 skilled professionals, ensuring the seamless maintenance, upkeep, and repair of our sprawling campus. As a key partner to School leadership, your strategic insights will guide us in operational matters and contribute to the realization of our long-term campus plan. Key Competencies: Team Leadership: Your leadership will shine as you interview, hire, and train departmental leaders and support staff. Your organizational prowess will be on display as you oversee workflow, job assignments, and schedules. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a budget in collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer and Director of Projects and Safety. Your strategic mindset will be crucial in prioritizing and executing maintenance and improvement projects. Security and Safety: Participate in developing and maintaining security systems and actively participate in the School's safety and security sub-committee. Effective Communication: Your ability to articulate ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing, will be a cornerstone of success. Technological Proficiency: Navigate computer-based software, email systems, and mobile devices with ease, showcasing your tech-savvy nature. Analytical Skills: Approach problem-solving with finesse and maintain a strong customer focus in all endeavors.
