Job Description

The Consumer & Markets Insights (CMI) team are insights champions and are responsible for bringing the voice of consumer to Midea. CMI is resposible for proactively anticipting research needs, leading insights projects within budger and timeline, and building solid partnerships with key stakeholders across th organization. We engage with our Brand, Product, and Innovation partners as subject matter experts, thought partners, and colaborators. We are a high-performing team that must be nimble in thinkig and actions, to pivot as needed to meet the needs of the Midea business. Individuals that join the CMI team must be able to function independently and within a team environment.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and manage qualitative and quantitative primary research projects. Must know how to maximize the effectiveness of insights projects by being able to:
    • Draft concise research briefs.
    • Recommend the best methodology/design based on objectives.
    • Set clear success criteria.
    • Ensure clear project definition/purpose, hypotheses, and actionability of results.
    • Evaluate clear proposals and from appropriate research partners.
    • Manage projects within timeframe and budgets.
    • Manage expectations with clear, timely, an consistent communication.
    • Interpret and evaluate research findings.
    • Present compelling research findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of various types of marketing related research including but not limited to messaging and packaging testing, concept testing, claims research, advertising research, with cleat understanding of which methodology is most appropriate based on where Midea is in the creative process.
  • Must be able to excavate insights from a variety of sources for meaningful and actionable storyteling. Sources may include market, retail, trends, and priary research studies.
  • Proactively discover new and innovative research methods and suppliers to unlock insights quickly, efficiently, and meaningfully.
  • Influence and fully execute learning plan based on priorities, timing, and budget.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with business partners to influence decisions with data and facts.
  • Other dutie assigned.

 

Job Qualifications

  • 10 years of quantitative and qualitative research experience.
  • Mix of client and supply side experience preferred.
  • Durable goods experience is a plus.

Salary: $100k-$130k, 15% Bonus, Medical, Vision, Dental
