Commercial Loan Officers perform the following functions:
- Recruit existing and potential members by offering MIDFLORIDA's full range of business products.
- Provide excellent service by opening and servicing business accounts and loans as well as answering questions in a prompt and professional manner.
- Improve the financial well-being of our members by offering products and services to save time and money.
- Develop new business relationships.
- Identify and cater to the specific needs of private banking clients.
- Manage the business portfolio, perform credit analysis, and complete loan underwriting.
- Present loans to the Risk Committee.
- Present a neat and professional personal appearance, in accordance with credit union professional image standards.
- Exercise sound judgment and discretion while remaining compliant with well-defined limits and guidelines.
- Exhibit a high degree of integrity, trustworthiness, and professionalism always.
- Exude a positive and professional attitude with members and partners consistently.
- Develop a strong understanding of customer facing technology with the ability to discuss with and enroll members in self-service options.
- Support assigned branches and members in all business lending needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include:
- 5 years of commercial credit lending experience.
- Strong calling officer and underwriting skills.
- Possess excellent customer service skills along with strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Must have a strong desire to help people.
- Proficient in the use of computers, the internet and Microsoft Office.
- SBA experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field is preferred.
