Job Description

The Auxiliary Coordinator is responsible for providing support for the Director of Auxiliary regarding organization, inventory, reporting, and communication. Performs primary duties as department administration support. Demonstrates understanding and knowledge of Microsoft Office products in a business environment. Supports in all gift shop operations, special events, volunteer recruitment, and other duties as needed.

SHIFT AND SCHEDULE

Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Essential Functions/Performance Expectations

  • Assist in the operations of the Auxiliary gift shops at MMH Main Campus and F. Marie Hall Outpatient Center (West Campus)
  • Assist the Director of the Auxiliary in recruiting and retaining adult and junior volunteers
  • Assist the Director of the Auxiliary with board management
  • Maintain regular orientation and training for current and new Auxiliary members
  • Assist the Director of the Auxiliary in managing inventory, point of sales system, financials, budgets, and other areas as needed.

Education And Experience

  • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
  • Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Two or more years’ administrative assistant experience.
  • Two or more years’ experience supporting Director level staff preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability using Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel & Power Point.
  • Prior experience in fundraising or development work is preferred; a demonstrated record of success in a related career field is preferred.

The individual must be able to:

  • Stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak and hear. Lifting is limited to 35 lbs. for clinical staff and to 50 lbs. for non-clinical staff. The individual must use an assisted-lift device or get another individual(s) to assist with the lift that is over these maximum limits.
