The Field Neurosciences Institute (FNI) is seeking a highly qualified individual to conduct clinical research in neurosurgery for FNI at MyMichigan Medical Center- Saginaw, the home for a highly productive and busy neurosurgery service. Successful candidate will work directly with clinicians affiliated with FNI through MyMichigan Medical Center- Saginaw. Successful candidate will focus on clinical outcomes, clinical registry and database analyses and clinical research, collaborating with internal clinicians and faculty as well as with external institutes and agencies. The candidate will work closely with the Medical Director of FNI. Long-term goal is to increase the extramural funding and research productivity of the program. The candidate will also look for cross-pollination of research efforts with interested resident trainees in the CMU program as well as with interested faculty members of the surrounding universities.Responsibilities
Demonstrate a commitment to diversity by working to develop a culture of inclusion and mutual respect. ● Publish research findings in the form of peer-reviewed journals, books and other relevant venues. ● Present research at regional, national, and international conferences under Field Neurosciences Institute. ● Advise/supervise student(s) and researchers with project development and research publication. ● Conduct a competitive independent and/or collaborative clinical research program in Neuroscience/Neurosurgery. ● Apply for and obtain external funding, independently and/or in collaboration with colleagues including, but not limited to grants. ● May be called on to engage with undergraduate and medical curriculum as requested and pre-approved by the FNI Medical Director.Certifications and Licensures

Required Education
MD/DO or PhD preferably in neuroscience, health services research, health policy, public health, medical informatics, data analytics, clinical research, allied health, or a related field. ● Strong collaborative and communication skills. ● Experience with incorporating diversity, equity, and inclusion into pedagogical and/or research practices. ● This position would be best suited for a postdoctoral individual seeking to boost their CV and experience in preparation to join neurosurgery residency.Other Information
