Education for new services provided by the department
Assists with maintaining effective quality management/improvement program to measure, assess and improve services of the department.
Develops and maintains relationships with Physicians, surrounding hospitals, other health care agencies and community service agencies to enhance the continuity of patient care services, foster communication and understanding and market services.
Takes an active role in the regular leadership meetings to communicate and influence the direction of nursing service.
Demonstrates professionalism and courtesy at all times toward all employees, physicians, associated staff and MyMichigan Medical Center-Gratiot customers and potential customers.
Demonstrates competency in Infection Prevention and Control Practices and Policies.

Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
Equivalent Experience: Comments: Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred at the time of hire or transfer to position. Associate prepared supervisors must enroll in a Bachelors in Nursing program within 1 year of hire or transfer date to position with completion in 3 years after enrollment (new requirement added in January 2020).
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND SKILLS
three years clinical experience in acute care.
Interpersonal skills needed to communicate successfully with individuals and groups and interact with people at all levels to communicate ideas and concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
