Responsibilities:
- Review schedule with Production Coordinator
- Review Production ticket for bindery instructions
- Obtain the approved comp. as a guide
- Set up and make ready as directed
- Check accuracy of work to supplied proofing items
- Once approval is obtained, if needed, complete the balance of job
- After the bindery work on a job has been completed follow instructions as to how job is to be packed
- Upon completion of job, weigh count all finished pieces, fill out count log, and place filled out load tag on skid
- Send out an email to the finish goods email group to notify completion of job
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Skills and knowledge required to be successful in this position:
- Must have good communication skills
- Must understand the operation of the Bindery machine
- Must be skilled in the many different types of bindery operations
- Must need to be able to identify and correct any difficulties relating to the finishing of a job
- Must be able to work well with those assisting in the Bindery
Experience Required:
- Minimum 5 years professional experience
Physical Requirements:
- Experience operating commercial bindery equipment (preferred)
- Mechanical skills
- Attention to detail
- Frequent reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping
- Frequent walking and standing for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to lift, pull, push up to 50 pounds
- Ability to visually inspect all work for defects
- Manual dexterity for repetitive work
