Litho Cutter Operator

Responsibilities:

• Review schedule with Production Coordinator
• Review Production ticket for bindery instructions
• Obtain the approved comp. as a guide
• Set up and make ready as directed
• Check accuracy of work to supplied proofing items
• Once approval is obtained, if needed, complete the balance of job
• After the bindery work on a job has been completed follow instructions as to how job is to be packed
• Upon completion of job, weigh count all finished pieces, fill out count log, and place filled out load tag on skid
• Send out an email to the finish goods email group to notify completion of job
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Skills and knowledge required to be successful in this position:

• Must have good communication skills
• Must understand the operation of the Bindery machine
• Must be skilled in the many different types of bindery operations
• Must need to be able to identify and correct any difficulties relating to the finishing of a job
• Must be able to work well with those assisting in the Bindery

Experience Required:

• Minimum 5 years professional experience

Physical Requirements:

• Experience operating commercial bindery equipment (preferred)
• Mechanical skills
• Attention to detail
• Frequent reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping
• Frequent walking and standing for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to lift, pull, push up to 50 pounds
• Ability to visually inspect all work for defects
• Manual dexterity for repetitive work
