Were looking for a marketing and events specialist to join our growing team. The specialist will be responsible for planning, coordination and execution of major trade shows, our annual International customer training event, corporate events and employee engagement events. In addition, support the delivery of Midrexs marketing and branding strategies. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, budgeting, logistics and execution of all marketing events including corporate events, fundraising and the annual conference on MIDREX Technology. Serving as day-of support and lead.
- Leads trade show execution, including booth artwork coordination, planning, logistics, and attends to staff the company booth.
- Drive employee engagement and retention through internal teammate appreciation events, leading and directing a team made up of cross-functional department teammates.
- Manage and develop day-to-day operations of events calendar with simultaneous deliverables.
- Develop and manage the budget for events.
- Develop and distribute pre-event and post-event communications through constant contact.
- Provide project coordination for various event committees by effectively delegating and assigning tasks, creating timelines and helping team members to prioritize workloads.
- Leads the planning, budgeting, logistics and execution of the annual Conference on MIDREX Technology.
- Compiles pricing, compares services, and negotiates contracts for corporate events and annual Conference on MIDREX Technology.
- Research and evaluate venues and facilities both locally and internationally and conduct site inspections.
- Facilitate speaker paper and presentation participation and material submission.
- Support the communication efforts and day-to-day operations of the department.
- Must be able to work nights and weekends, and variable schedule(s) as necessary.
Skills/Abilities:
Required:
- Strong knowledge of event management including event planning, execution, and communications.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Superior attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to coordinate efforts across cross-functional teams.
- Ability to respond to problems and to assist with a helpful manner and attitude.
Preferred:
- International event experience
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
Travel Requirements:
- 20-35% International and Domestic based project demands
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
