A Day In the Life as a Human Resources Representative

Reporting to the VP Administration & Human Resources, the primary role of a Human Resources Representative (non-exempt, Grade 8) at MidSouth Community FCU is assisting with full-cycle recruiting and administrative tasks in the areas of compensation, employee records, and benefits.

More specifically, as a Human Resources Representative, you will support the Human Resources department by assisting with full-cycle recruiting, including but not limited to posting jobs, conducting phone interviews, scheduling interviews, conducting pre-employment screening, etc. Also, you will assist the department with employee development and employee relations activities, administrative reporting, and employee file maintenance.

The world of HR is consistently evolving, and we are seeking someone who is self-motivated, organized, and flexible, with an ability to think critically while effectively prioritizing your day. Serving our internal members (employees) is our first concern.

Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience. aPHR or PHR certification preferred, but not required.

Education: A bachelor's degree or achievement of formal certification recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (i.e. PHR, SHRM-CP).

Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.


How is the Work Schedule?

The Human Resources Representative position is a full-time role, working typically 40 hours weekly.
