~~~ EXPERIENCE AS OR EDUCATION FOR VET TECH/ASSISTANT IS REQUIRED~~~

Pay is commensurate with your experience/skill set and a minimum of 1 year experience is required.

Hospital hours: Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m.- 5:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday- Closed.

Shift: Full-time position 7:20 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. 4 days a week. You are on a rotation with our other technicians for occasional weekend coverage to care for hospitalized and boarding pets.

Ideal candidates will possess the following:

• Experience working in the field or a Veterinary medical technician/assistant program is required to be considered.
• Computer literacy. Experience with AVImark Veterinary Software is a plus.
• Ability to multi-task and develop healthy relationships with team members and clients.
• General Animal healthcare knowledge: Pet medical and behavioral basics, vaccination types and protocols, and preventative products.
• Knowledge/experience with anesthetic monitoring and assisting with surgery is a plus.
• High level of maturity, excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to maintain professionalism in the face of stressful situations.

We have a new state of the art in house CT, use Avimark software and have an in house Idexx Vet Lab Station. We use digital records, digital general and dental radiography.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift patients or carry supplies/equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Endure sitting for extended periods and standing or walking on hard surfaces for extended periods.
